Stolen motto

I've decided to share a motto, of sorts, that I stole from a man that I've worked closely with. He has taught me much and has influenced me greatly. He once told me:
"Pray.
Work hard.
Do right.
Stay Faithful."
Seven simple and profound words later, I knew that I wanted those words to be true of my life. I know that I need God's providence and love to be able to make it through every day. If I am not in touch with him through prayer, I will easily lose connection and become separated from him. Also, life is hard work and I love that. I enjoy a good day of hard work, within reason. There is nothing like a good day of work to make you feel like you have accomplished something. Doing right is most definitely difficult to live out on a day-to-day basis. Even when I feel like I am doing right, the simple, seemingly innocent sin can bring me back down to earth with a flash. Staying faithful is the hardest to live out, but the most satisfying. I love the feeling of walking right with God and feeling as if His hand is in my life and guiding me. I pray that I will work hard this week, semester, and year, that I will do right and stay faithful to Him who has given me so much grace.
