Busy work

Holy catfish! I have been soooo incredibly busy since school started 3 weeks ago. 5 classes, 3 music groups, working Intramurals, it's been crazy so far. Nonetheless, I love it! I don't like to sit around, so this busy schedule is really appealing to my nature.Classes are going well, I just had my first test of the semester and it went pretty well. I hate my homework, as always, but most of the lectures are pretty interesting.
Intramurals haven't been going as hot as I was hoping. Sign ups were low so we had to push them back twice, it's pretty lame. I'm pretty excited for when they start though, and I'm not gonna lie, the Intramural Championship shirts are gonna be pretty darn sweet :-D
It's my Birthday this weekend and I have to be here for the "On Campus Leadership Retreat." It's pretty lame and my mom's ticked off, but oh well, nothing we can do about that one. I'm looking forward to it though, the big 2-0. It's kinda weird that I'm not gonna be a teenager anymore, but such is life I guess. Alas, it is late and I grow weary.
G'night

Back in Fresno

So I'm back at school and ready to hit the books again. School has started up as today was our first day of classes and I'm pretty excited about the year to come. Intramurals is going to go well (I'm hoping) and I think I will be able to handle my hectic schedule well. I still haven't eaten in the caf, even though I have 140 meals haha. I'm kinda nervous about running out, so I made a chart so I can track how many I've used up (I know, I'm a dork, it's ok, I've dealt with it).
So yeah, summer was amazing. I loved working at Ironwood soooo much and I would go back in a heartbeat if that is where God is calling me. But I'm going to wait a little while to make that decision because I don't want to go there because I want to; I want it to be His choice. So, I'll be praying hard about that.
That's all,
Isaac

Heading to the Desert

So for those of you that don't know, I'm going to be working at a camp this summer. It's called Ironwood Christian Camp and its located about 20 miles outside of Barstow. It's a camp with a western theme, which is where my job comes in. I'll be working with the horses all summer (pretty much the coolest job ever) which includes, but is not limited to: feeding/bathing/exercising horses, nursing horse injuries, help breed horses, teaching people how to ride, taking people out on trail rides, general maintenence on the camp, making pancakes for the Saturday morning breakfast on the bluffs, talking with kids after services about decisions they need to make, getting to witness the love and grace of Christ to kids who may have never heard about him. It really is an amazing experience and I am so blessed to be going back for a second summer. I start on June 2nd and will be done late August, days before I have to be back at school.
We don't really get much internet access out there. The only website we're allowed to get on is the camp's e-mail servor, (if you want to e-mail me, I would be so happy to hear from you :-D - IsaacComelli@ironwood.org) so I definitely won't be updating this during the summer. So I hope you all have a great summer and hopefully I'll hear from you :)

Hittin' the Beach

On Friday I drove up to Fresno and stayed the night in preparation to go with Luffy, our friend Beth Grover, and a few of her friends. Our ride to the beach was fine, despite the fact that it took quite a bit longer than we had expected. They were doing construction on one of the highways and it turned a one lane highway into one lane for both ways. We sat at a standstill for quite a while and the only interesting thing that became of that was a 30 year old man who came running out of his RV along side the cars, in nothing but his tighty whitey's. It was pretty gross and slightly scarring, yet, slightly humerous in a boring situaiton.
We eventually made it to the beach, hung out, ate Mo's BBQ, went to the beach, hung out some more, ate Woodstock's Pizza and Yogurt Creations and ended up leaving for Fresno around 11 PM. It was a long drive, and 2 PM came almost as swiftly as my head hit the pillow when we got home :)

Happy Mother's Day!!

So, today was Mother's Day, and it was pretty good. We went to church, and had lunch, and then came back and watched the Lakers lose :( and then we had a fancy dinner (my mom always gets a lobster on Mother's Day haha) However, sad moment of the day, Alberston's Lobster tank was broken, so the only lobsters they had were frozen ones in the back. Thus, we didn't get to put a live lobster in the bowling pot at home :'( Alas, we made the lobster and my mom loved it. On a side note, my niece is wicked cute, in case all of you didn't know. This is her

During dinner tonight, my mom asked the question, "So are Luffy and Tom going to be getting married to their girlfriends?" My mom asks off the wall questions quite often, so I have learned to be very sarcastic as a result of that. Thus, tonight, I responded, "No, I don't think so. I think they're just in it for the sex."
My mom didn't find it very amusing, but I sure did :)
On a side note, the Lakers make my heart hurt. Why can't they just win every game easily, with no drama or uncertainty?
I went with my one of my best friends from HS, who happens to be a former teammate, and played some pickup games of basketball on monday night. When we were finished, he was complaining of a stomach ache. I figured he was just as out of shape as I was, and gave him some mylanta when we got home. Yesterday, my friend's dad called me up and told me that Ben had been in the hospital since Tuesday because his appendix burst! SO cool! I helped do that :-D No worries though, he is totally fine and is going to be out of the hospital and home tomorrow.

School's out for the summer

So I'm officially done with half of college... that's a freaky thought. Two more years and I might be done with higher education... maybe haha
In a little less than a month I leave for Ironwood, the camp I'm working at this summer. I'm so excited about that and can't wait to be there. Nonetheless, I will be enjoying my time off to its fullest extent. :-D
I'm hoping to do some cool things, like going to the beach with some friends, jumping off of large buildings, or whatever presents itself first. However, I need to get through all of this laundry and unpacking before I can have any fun :( Sad day.
Thats alright though, the summer is here and I can't wait to see what God has planned for me.
